Job summary

Datavant is seeking an experienced inpatient coder to join our remote team. You will assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes, abstract records, and maintain coding accuracy and productivity benchmarks while collaborating with hospital staff.

Requirements include a minimum of 3 years inpatient coding experience, CCS/RHIT/RHIA preferred, AHIMA/AAPC credentials or AHIMA-certified programs. This full-time remote role offers comprehensive benefits and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• 3+ years inpatient coding facility experience.
• CCS, RHIT, or RHIA preferred.
• AHIMA-certified HIM or Nursing Program or AHIMA/AAPC certificate preferred CCS.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes from records.
• Abstract and sequence codes accurately.
• Oversee and audit Level 1 & 2 Coders as applicable.
• Champion documentation improvement opportunities and coding issues.
• Maintain 95% coding accuracy and 95% MS-DRG accuracy.
