Mosaic Life Care is hiring an Inpatient Coder II to assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for acute care inpatient settings. You will query providers, resolve edits, and support documentation quality across LTACH and rehab services.

Responsibilities include DRG/APRDRG assignment, educator role for coders, and collaboration with clinical documentation, revenue and quality teams to ensure accuracy and compliance. Requires HIM credentials and 3 years inpatient coding experience.

Formación

• Must have coding education with knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology and anatomy.
• Associate's Degree in Health Information Management / Medical Records - Required OR
• Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management / Medical Records - Preferred
• 3 Years - experience in HIM inpatient acute care coding - Required
• CCS or RHIA or RHIT certification required or preferred

Responsabilidades

• Codes complex diseases, procedures and diagnoses using ICD-10-CM/PCS.
• Queries providers following Official Query Guidelines to improve documentation.
• Assigns MS-DRG and APR-DRG per regulatory guidelines.
• Mentors and trains coders.
• Ensures data accuracy for regulatory reporting.
