AMN Healthcare seeks a Remote Facility Inpatient Coder in Health Information Management. You will code inpatient services from medical records using ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT and HCPCS, following Coding Clinic rules and CMS guidelines.

The role emphasizes achieving a 95% DRG accuracy rate, maintaining productivity, and resolving documentation gaps. Remote work requires a VPN, a smart device, and a Windows PC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Requires AHIMA RHIA, RHIT, or CCS or AAPC CIC credentials.
• Must be proficient with Facilities Coding Standards.
• Minimum of three years' experience in medical coding.
• Working knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS.

Responsibilities

• Code inpatient and services using ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT and HCPCS.
• Maintain 95% DRG and overall accuracy rate.
• Maintain average productivity and process charts in the review queue.
• Ensure proper documentation is obtained when documentation is lacking.
• Work remotely with standard equipment and VPN access.
