Job summary

Gebbs Healthcare Solutions Inc is seeking an Inpatient Facility Coder to review medical documentation and assign ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT codes for one of our facility clients. The role emphasizes accuracy, productivity, and compliance with IPPS guidelines.

Remote work is available with standard hours ( Pacific Time 6:00 AM–6:00 PM ), Monday through Friday. Requirements include RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification, at least 3 years of inpatient coding experience, and proficiency in

Qualifications

• RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification through AHIMA (aapc considered)
• Minimum 3 years inpatient coding experience in a facility setting
• Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT and related coding systems
• Strong medical terminology knowledge and coding guidelines understanding
• Preferred trauma, orthopedics, cardiology, and Epic experience

Responsibilities

• Review medical documentation to assign ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT codes
• Abstract clinical data and ensure coding quality and productivity (target 3 charts/hour, 95%+ accuracy)
• Ensure compliance with Medicare IPPS and Official Coding Guidelines
• Use coding software, MS Office, VPN and related tools; collaborate with healthcare team to resolve documentation discrepancies
