Datavant is seeking an experienced inpatient coder for a fully remote, flexible schedule. The role requires strong medical terminology knowledge and a minimum of 3 years inpatient coding experience, preferably with CCS/RHIT/RHIA credentials.

You will ensure accurate ICD-10 coding, audit junior coders, and collaborate with clinical and revenue teams. Ideal candidates possess AHIMA-certified HIM or nursing credentials, enjoy a collaborative environment, and are committed to documentation

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of inpatient coding experience
• Experience at a Level I Trauma Center
• CCS/RHIT/RHIA preferred
• AHIMA/AAPC credentials are a plus

Responsabilités

• Assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes
• Sequence and abstract codes from patient records
• Oversee and audit Level 1 & 2 Coders
• Champion documentation improvement opportunities
• Maintain 95% coding accuracy and 95% MS-DRG accuracy
• Maintain site productivity benchmarks
• Communicate with colleagues and hospital staff on clinical and reimbursement issues
