Job summary

Datavant is seeking experienced inpatient coders for a fully remote role with a flexible schedule. Candidates should have at least 3 years of inpatient coding experience and ideally hold CCS, RHIT, or RHIA credentials.

The role includes overseeing coding quality, audits, and collaborating with hospital staff to ensure accurate documentation and reimbursement. Salary is $32–$42 per hour with full-time benefits and equipment provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of inpatient coding experience.
• CCS, RHIT or RHIA preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes.
• Sequence and abstract codes from patient records.
• Audit Level 1 & 2 Coders as applicable.
• Champion documentation improvement opportunities.
• Maintain 95% coding accuracy and 95% MS-DRG accuracy.
• Maintain site productivity benchmarks.
• Communicate professionally with hospital staff.
