Job summary

GovCIO is hiring an Infrastructure Security Lead for the US Coast Guard program. This is a fully remote role located in the United States and focused on maturing our security posture across network security, ICAM, boundary protection, and ATO.

You will lead a team of engineers and analysts, define security policies, drive incident response, and partner with IT, DevOps, and cloud teams to implement secure-by-default infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 12 years of progressive information security experience.
• 3–5 years in a leadership role
• Clearance required: active Secret clearance
• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification

Responsibilities

• Oversee security posture across network security, ICAM, boundary protection, and ATO programs.
• Partner with technology, governance, and operations teams to design and operate secure infrastructure.
• Lead security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments for new and existing systems.
• Establish and maintain security incident response, detection, and post-incident reviews.
