Job summary

GovCIO is seeking an Infrastructure Security Lead for the US Coast Guard program. This fully remote role will focus on maturing security, ICAM, and compliance across a broad infrastructure portfolio.

You will define strategy, lead security reviews, and drive incident response while coordinating with IT and DevOps teams. The ideal candidate offers 12+ years in information security, 3–5 years in leadership, and holds CISSP with an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 12 years of progressive information security experience.
• 3–5 years in a leadership/lead role.
• Clearance Required: Must be clearable up to an active Secret clearance.
• Certification Required: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)

Responsibilities

• Oversee and mature security posture across network security, ICAM, boundary protection, and ATO.
• Design, implement, and operate secure, compliant infrastructure with governance.
• Lead security controls: network segmentation, firewalls, VPNs, WAF, MFA, SSO, PAM.
• Manage security policy, standards, and alignment with NIST/ISO/FedRAMP.
• Establish incident response, detection, and recovery; lead major incidents.
• Develop strategic security roadmap aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
• Manage and mentor security team.
