Job summary

GovCIO is seeking an Infrastructure Security Lead for a US Coast Guard program. This fully remote role requires security leadership across network security, ICAM, and ATO, with a focus on designing and operating secure, compliant infrastructure.

You will partner with IT, DevSecOps, and governance teams to implement automated controls, manage incident response, and drive a strategic security roadmap compliant with NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, and FedRAMP where applicable.

Qualifications

• 12 years of progressive information security experience.
• 3–5 years in a leadership/lead role
• Clearance Required: Must be clearable up to an active Secret clearance
• Certification Required: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)

Responsibilities

• Oversee security posture across network security, ICAM and ATO.
• Partner with IT, governance, and operations to design and operate secure infrastructure.
• Lead security controls implementation: firewall, VPN, MFA, IAM, SSO, and boundary protections.
• Manage security incident response and post-incident reviews.
• Define security policies and align with NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, FedRAMP as applicable.
