GovCIO is seeking an Infrastructure Security Lead for a US Coast Guard program. This fully remote role requires senior-level information security expertise and leadership to mature security controls and ATO processes across a range of technologies and teams.

You will own security architecture reviews, threat modeling, incident response, and compliance activities, collaborating with IT, DevOps, and cloud groups to implement secure infrastructure. Active Secret clearance and CISSP are required.

Qualificações

• 12 years of progressive information security experience.
• 3–5 years in a leadership/lead role.
• Clearance required: active Secret clearance.
• CISSP certification is required.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee and mature security posture across ICAM, boundary protection, and ATO programs.
• Design, implement, and operate secure, compliant, and resilient infrastructure.
• Lead security controls design across network security, policy, risk management and audit readiness.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing security team.
• Collaborate with IT, DevOps/DevSecOps, and cloud teams to enforce secure-by-default infrastructure.
• Oversee vulnerability management, patch management, and configuration hardening.
• Define security policies and ensure alignment with NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, and FedRAMP.
