Job summary

GovCIO is seeking an Infrastructure Security Lead for its US Coast Guard program. This fully remote role will oversee security across ICAM, network security, and ACS controls, aligning with NIST, CIS, and FedRAMP requirements.

You will lead a security team, drive risk management, incident response, and enterprise-grade security engineering for compliant infrastructure. The ideal candidate has 12+ years in information security, 3–5 years in leadership, and active Secret clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• 12 years of progressive information security experience.
• 3–5 years in a leadership/lead role.
• Clearance Required: Must be clearable up to an active Secret clearance
• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification required

Responsibilities

• Oversee and mature our security posture across network security, ICAM, boundary protection, and ATO program.
• Partner with technology, governance, and operations teams to design, implement, and operate secure, compliant infrastructure.
• Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing operation of organizational security controls across network security, security & compliance, ICAM, and boundary protection.
• Establish and maintain security incident response, detection, and recovery capabilities; lead major security incidents and post-incident reviews.
• Define and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, FISMA, FedRAMP).
• Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing security team and collaborate with IT/DevOps to implement secure-by-default infrastructure.
