Job summary

GovCIO is seeking an Infrastructure Security Lead for a U.S. Coast Guard program. This role is fully remote within the United States, and requires a Secret clearance and CISSP certification.

The candidate will guide security across ICAM, network security, and compliance, while partnering with IT, DevOps, and cloud teams to implement secure-by-default infrastructure. Responsibilities include driving a strategic security roadmap, conducting risk assessments, and leading incident response efforts.

Qualifications

• 12 years of progressive information security experience
• 3–5 years in a leadership role
• Clearance: active Secret clearance required
• CISSP certification required

Responsibilities

• Oversee and mature security posture across ICAM, network security, compliance, and ATO programs.
• Lead security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments for infrastructure.
• Establish and maintain incident response, detection, and recovery capabilities; lead major incidents.
• Define security policies and ensure alignment with NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, and FedRAMP.
