Job summary

GovCIO is seeking an Infrastructure Security Lead for the US Coast Guard program. This role is fully remote within the United States, focusing on maturing security controls, ICAM, and ATO lifecycle across the infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will direct a security team, drive policy enforcement, and coordinate with governance and operations to maintain compliant and resilient systems.

Qualifications

• 12 years of progressive information security experience.
• 3–5 years in a leadership role.
• Clearance up to active Secret required.
• CISSP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and mature security posture across ICAM, network security, and boundary defenses.
• Lead security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments.
• Establish incident response, detection, and recovery capabilities.
• Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and cloud teams to enforce secure-by-default infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, FedRAMP where applicable.
