Job summary

GovCIO is hiring an Infrastructure Security Lead for a U.S. Coast Guard program. This fully remote role oversees enterprise security controls, including network security, ICAM, and ATO, and partners with IT, governance, and operations teams to ensure compliant, resilient infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will lead incident response, implement secure-by-default configurations, and drive a strategic security roadmap aligning with regulatory requirements. U.S.

Qualifications

• 12 years of progressive information security experience.
• 3–5 years in a leadership/lead role.
• Clearance required: active Secret clearance.
• CISSP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and mature security posture across network security, ICAM, boundary protection, and ATO.
• Partner with technology, governance, and operations to design and operate secure infrastructure.
• Lead security controls design and implementation: network security, IAM, and boundary protections.
• Establish incident response, detection, and recovery capabilities; lead major incidents.
• Define security policies and ensure alignment with NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, FISMA, FedRAMP.
• Mentor a high-performing security team and collaborate with DevOps/Cloud teams.
