Job summary

GovCIO is seeking an Infrastructure Security Lead for a United States Coast Guard program. The role is fully remote within the U.S. and focuses on maturing security posture across ICAM, boundary protection, and ATO programs.

You will partner with IT, governance, and operations teams to design, implement, and operate secure infrastructure. The ideal candidate will lead security architecture, threat modeling, and risk assessments, while developing a strategic security roadmap and ensuring

Qualifications

• 12 years of progressive information security experience.
• 3–5 years in a leadership/lead role.
• Clearance Required: Must be clearable up to an active Secret clearance.
• Certification Required: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)

Responsibilities

• Oversee and mature security posture across network security, ICAM, and ATO programs.
• Lead design and operation of security controls (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, IAM, MFA, SSO).
• Develop and execute a strategic security roadmap aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Own security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments.
• Establish and maintain incident response, detection, and recovery capabilities; lead major incidents.
