Job summary

Rea, a growing Top 100 business advisory and accounting firm, seeks an Indirect Tax Consulting Manager to support research, controversy work, and risk assessments. The role focuses on nationwide nexus studies, tax exposure analysis, and voluntary disclosures, with client interactions early in the engagement.

The candidate should have a CPA or CMI in SALT, 4–5 years SALT experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and willingness to travel to client locations across the country.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited university.
• 4–5 years of state and local tax experience in SALT consulting.
• CPA certification or CMI in sales tax or aligned with CMI expectations.
• Willingness to travel to client locations with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with nationwide nexus studies for sales and use tax, income tax, and other tax types.
• Assist with nationwide risk assessments quantifying exposure across tax types.
• Support voluntary disclosure projects.
• Prepare memoranda on state and local tax issues and taxability.
• Assist with due diligence projects and audit defense.
• Maintain active client communication early in engagement.
