Job summary

Rea is seeking an Indirect Tax Consulting & Technology Manager (SALT) to lead multi-state sales and use tax projects, and to drive tax technology implementations. You will balance high-level consulting with hands-on system configurations across ERP/Ecommerce platforms.

The role emphasizes nexus studies, risk analysis, exemption management, and client service. CPA/CMI progress, Avalara/Vertex experience, and strong Excel skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred from an accredited university
• 4-5 years’ experience in state and local tax consulting
• CPA or CMI candidacy preferred
• Avalara and Vertex experience highly valued
• Experience with exemption certificate management
• Experience integrating tax technology into workflows

Responsibilities

• Assist with nationwide nexus studies for sales and income tax
• Assist with nationwide risk assessments quantifying exposure
• Oversee complex sales tax system implementations for diverse ERP/Ecommerce platforms
• Assist with exemption certificate management and voluntary disclosure projects
• Prepare memoranda on state and local tax issues
• Maintain direct client interaction within your first week
