Job summary

Rea & Associates, Inc. is seeking an Indirect Tax Consulting Manager to support our sales and use tax practice. You will contribute to nexus studies, risk assessments, voluntary disclosures, and client advisory projects across multiple states.

The role requires 4–5 years of SALT experience, CPA/CMI pursuit, and willingness to travel. A strong analytical mindset and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the MS suite are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of state and local tax (SALT) consulting experience.
• CPA or CMI in SALT or pursuing CPA/CMI.
• Travel to client locations required; reliable transportation needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with nationwide nexus studies for sales and use tax, income tax, and other tax types.
• Assist with nationwide risk assessments quantifying exposure for tax types.
• Assist with voluntary disclosure projects and due diligence.
• Prepare memoranda on state and local tax issues and product/service taxability.
• Maintain direct client interaction within the first week.
