Job summary

Visionworks of America is seeking a Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant to ensure a great patient experience by preparing patients for onsite or remote examinations and completing pre-exam tests. You will liaise between patients and Optometrists and guide them through the initial steps of their eye care journey.

The role requires at least one year of related experience, an HS diploma, and a customer-focused, detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience
• Optical or Healthcare background preferred
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience
• Training provided

Responsibilities

• Completing patient registration and submitting information into EMR
• Assist onsite doctor with patient care and eye examinations and document results
• Explain preliminary testing and manage remote eye exam process for remote appointments
• Preauthorize insurance and coordinate appointments with retail staff
• Maintain patient records and assist with contact lens orders and stock
