Job summary

TriHealth in the United States is seeking a Coding Specialist II to review provider documentation and assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes. This role supports accurate coding, denial research, and collaboration with clinical teams in a remote, home-based setting.

Candidates should hold a CPC or similar credential, have knowledge of ICD-10-CM/CPT guidelines, and possess a solid background in anatomy and medical terminology. Full-time schedule with day shift and no on-call commitment.

Qualifications

• Candidate has CPC, CCS-P, CCM, RHIA, RHIT, or CCA credentials as listed.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding guidelines.
• Solid foundation in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Abstract coding of provider documentation for ICD and CPT codes.
• Review charts, research denials, and collaborate with clinical teams.
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely coding per guidelines.
• Assist with coding questions from internal and external customers.
• Follow up on denials and documentation gaps with providers.
