Responsibilities

• Abstract and assign ICD and CPT codes based on clinical documentation and guidelines.
• Assist with coding/billing questions from internal and external customers.
• Research denials and follow up on coding issues with providers.
• Communicate documentation trends to clinical staff and leadership.
• Maintain up‑to‑date CPT and ICD‑10‑CM resources in billing systems.
• Ensure codes are current, active, and billable according to government and payer guidelines.
