Maximus is seeking a Senior IBM COBOL Developer to support our IRS client, delivering robust mainframe solutions and adhering to coding standards.

This is a remote role requiring an active IRS Moderate-Risk Background Investigation (MBI); you will design, code, test, review, and document complex COBOL programs.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience with IBM COBOL, DB2, and CICS to join a collaborative, fast-paced team. Experience with JCL and SQL is a plus.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in COBOL development.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the development of software solutions meeting business requirements for IBM COBOL systems.
• Design, code, test, and debug COBOL modules; perform unit testing and code reviews.
• Update documentation (FSP/PRP/IRMs/ICD) and support production troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with managers and engineers to clarify program intent and implement changes.
• Provide guidance and training to other developers and support testing environments.
