Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Intermediate I&C Engineer Energy for a remote role based from our Oak Ridge, TN office. You will design, test, install, and maintain control systems for industrial processes, focusing on safety and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with mechanical, nuclear, and electrical teams, develop PLC/SCADA designs, prepare P&IDs and test plans, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring timely delivery and quality across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in I&C engineering.
• Nuclear industry experience preferred; regulatory knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, install, and maintain I&C systems for industrial processes.
• Develop PLC and SCADA designs for nuclear facilities.
• Ensure compliance with nuclear safety regulations and industry standards.
• Collaborate with mechanical, nuclear, operations and electrical teams for I&C design and consultation.
• Prepare and maintain P&IDs, loop diagrams and qualification test plans.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality reviews.
