AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Engineering I&C Manager Energy – Remote. This senior role leads I&C and electrical design for nuclear facilities, directs project teams, and provides expert technical direction from our Oak Ridge, TN office while supporting national client projects.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, 15+ years of nuclear design/construction experience, and a PE license.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Requires 15 years of experience of direct nuclear design, engineering and construction experience from recent new nuclear plant designs and/or nuclear projects.
• Strong communication skills in a challenging, multi-tiered environment.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to foster and achieve goal alignment among participants with differing interests.
• Expert knowledge of key design codes and standards for commercial nuclear facilities required.
• Expert knowledge in the use of I&C electrical design software codes.
• Senior design professional experience on Commercial and DOE nuclear reactor projects preferred.
• Senior design professional experience on Commercial and DOE nuclear fuel cycle facilities preferred.
• Nuclear Steam Supply System OEM experience preferred.
• Professional Engineering (PE) License, with ability to be licensed in multiple jurisdictions required.

Responsibilities

• Leads functional teams (e.g., I&C and electrical engineering disciplines) for projects meeting milestones and objectives.
• Provides technical direction throughout the company within field of expertise.
• Represents/defends company’s technical work to client, regulatory agencies and others.
• Participates in technical quality assurance reviews.
• Coordinates with other managers to identify staffing needs and opportunities for recruitment in technical specialty area.
