Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design, analysis, and implementation of electrical systems for nuclear and commercial energy projects. This fully remote-capable role is aligned with our Oak Ridge, TN office and offers impact across multidisciplinary teams.

You will apply regulatory guidance, perform essential engineering calculations, generate diagrams, and mentor junior staff while ensuring safety, compliance, and project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field required.
• Minimum of 7 years relevant experience; nuclear industry experience highly desired.
• PE licensure is highly desired; master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain electrical systems for nuclear and commercial projects.
• Lead design and analysis of safety and non-safety related electrical systems.
• Interface with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Perform engineering calculations (lighting, volt drop, conductor sizing, panel heat).
• Generate wiring diagrams, single line drawings, and control philosophy documents.
