Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Senior IT Category Manager to lead sourcing and vendor governance for IT hardware, software, and services. You will drive TCO reductions, develop category strategies, and partner with stakeholders to negotiate contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required).
• 5+ years of experience in related field.
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Establish sourcing strategies for IT categories in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Conduct sourcing events and develop/category strategy with evaluation criteria.
• Develop bid documents (RFP/RFI/RFQ) and manage reporting and metrics.
• Forecast market dynamics and share knowledge within product/service portfolio.
• Source products/services using tools/processes to drive business results.
• Evaluate analyses from a total cost of ownership perspective and optimize.
• Participate in cross-functional teams for vendor negotiations and risk mitigation.
• Lead supplier relationship management and performance monitoring.
• Build strong vendor relationships and coordinate vendor reviews.
• Develop annual vendor plans and ensure contract compliance.
• Coordinate risk assessments and address significant risks.
• Serve as escalation point for vendor contractual issues and resolution.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, Audit on regulatory requirements.
• Develop procedures and recommendations for process improvements.
