Job summary
Blue Cross NC is seeking a Senior IT Category Manager to lead sourcing and vendor governance across IT hardware, software, and services. This role emphasizes cost ownership reduction and robust vendor governance in a Hybrid-Flex environment.
The position partners with business owners, vendors, and the Corporate Services Vendor Contracting team to negotiate contracts, support vendor selection, and ensure obligations align with business requirements, with a strong focus on analytics and risk
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required).
- 5+ years of experience in related field.
- In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.
Responsibilities
- Establish sourcing strategies for IT categories in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Conduct sourcing events and develop category strategies and evaluation criteria.
- Develop bid documents (RFP, RFI, RFQ) and track performance metrics.
- Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations with compliance oversight.
