Job summary

Blue Cross NC invites applications for a Senior IT Category Manager to lead sourcing and vendor governance for IT hardware, software, and services. You will reduce TCO, negotiate contracts, and align vendor obligations with business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in IT sourcing or procurement.
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Establish sourcing strategies for IT hardware, software and services with stakeholders.
• Conduct sourcing events and develop category plans, evaluation criteria, and solicitations.
• Develop bid documents (RFP/RFI/RFQ) and track performance metrics.
• Analyze market dynamics and share industry knowledge for assigned categories.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to source products/services using proven tools and analytics.
• Evaluate total cost of ownership and provide optimization recommendations.
• Lead cross-functional vendor negotiations and manage supplier relationships.
• Ensure vendor compliance and coordinate risk assessments for key vendors.
