Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Senior IT Category Manager to lead sourcing and vendor governance for IT hardware, software, and services. You will partner with business owners and the Corporate Services Vendor Contracting team to optimize total cost of ownership and ensure vendor obligations align with business needs.

You’ll build category strategies, run RFPs/RFIs, analyze market dynamics, and drive supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Experience sourcing and negotiating IT contracts including hardware, software, and services.

Responsibilities

• Establish sourcing strategies for IT categories with stakeholders, focusing on hardware, software, and services.
• Conduct sourcing events and develop category strategies and evaluation criteria.
• Develop bid documents (RFP/RFI/RFQ) and manage reporting and metrics.
• Forecast market dynamics and share expertise within product/services portfolio.
• Partner with stakeholders to source products using tools and analytics to drive results.
• Evaluate total cost of ownership analyses and provide optimization recommendations.
• Lead vendor negotiations and coordinate vendor relationship management.
