Nisga’a CIOPS is seeking a Senior Engineer (Mechanical) to provide mechanical/HVAC engineering support to DOJ/BOP facilities, performing analyses, document reviews, and advisory inputs to enable government decision-making. The role emphasizes review, coordination, and technical briefings.

Primarily remote with occasional travel to DOJ/BOP sites; requires RA/PE, 7+ years of experience, and compliance with security processes. Salary range $100k–$170k with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; 7+ years of mechanical/HVAC experience.
• - RA or PE certification; able to obtain DOJ/BOP suitability and access.
• - Primarily remote work with occasional travel to DOJ/BOP sites.

Responsibilities

• Review mechanical/HVAC design documents for completeness and government alignment.
• Support facility condition assessments and draft corrective actions.
• Research HVAC performance, energy efficiency, and indoor air quality; document findings.
• Prepare technical inputs for Statements of Work, performance requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate with architectural and other disciplines to identify interfaces and integration issues.
• Support commissioning and closeout documentation reviews.
