Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking an HVAC Mechanical Engineer / Project Developer for its federal team focused on U.S. military projects mainly in the Mid-Atlantic region. The role requires leading design and development of HVAC projects, with site visits in the VA/MD/DC area as needed.

The ideal candidate will have extensive project development experience in mechanical and low voltage building systems, excellent estimating skills, and the ability to work remotely.

Qualifications

• Experience with project development for mechanical and low voltage building automation and controls projects.
• Demonstrated expertise with building mechanical equipment and HVAC systems.
• Strong estimating skills preferable with RS Means or other tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development scope for HVAC projects.
• Conduct site visits to prepare Statement of Work (SOW).
• Manage multiple concurrent projects and costs.
