Job summary

Goldbelt, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer (Mechanical) to provide mechanical/HVAC engineering support for DOJ/BOP facilities. The role emphasizes analysis, documentation, and advisory support for government decision-making without design approval authority.

The position is primarily remote with occasional travel to DOJ/BOP sites. Requires a PE or other certification, a mechanical engineering degree, and 7 years of relevant experience. Eligible for DoD-related access and security clearances.

Qualifications

• Must have either a PE or another applicable professional certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive mechanical/HVAC engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain DOJ/BOP suitability and access.
• Primarily remote work with occasional travel to DOJ/BOP sites or meetings.
• Participation in virtual design reviews and time-sensitive technical comment cycles.

Responsibilities

• Review mechanical/HVAC design docs, calculations, and submittals for completeness and alignment with requirements.
• Support facility condition assessments by evaluating mechanical systems docs and recommending corrective actions.
• Perform HVAC performance, ventilation, energy efficiency, and indoor air quality analyses with documented findings.
• Develop equipment schedules, sequences of operations, and options analyses for Government evaluation.
• Draft inputs for Statements of Work, performance requirements, acceptance criteria, and evaluation factors.
