Job summary

Salas O’Brien is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead HVAC and process ventilation design for secure facilities in the Baltimore/Washington, DC area. The role focuses on life-safety and mission-critical systems for federal DOE/NNSA projects and other facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and PE license.
• 10+ years of design experience with HVAC and process ventilation.
• Minimum 2 years of project management experience (preferred).
• Experience with secure or federal government facility design preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC and process ventilation design for new facilities, additions, and renovations.
• Develop construction drawings and specifications for high-hazard environments.
• Coordinate with disciplines and provide engineering services during construction (ESDC).
• Lead project teams and manage client relationships.
