Job summary

Nisga’a CIOPS is seeking a Senior Engineer (Architect) to support DOJ/BOP facilities with architectural analyses, design reviews, and technical inputs. The role develops recommendations and supports government decision-making without design approvals.

The position emphasizes coordination across disciplines and adherence to Federal codes, with primarily remote work and possible travel to DOJ/BOP sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering is required.
• RA or PE certification is required.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive architectural design/review experience.
• Federal facilities project experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings, specs, and submittals for completeness and alignment with Government requirements.
• Support facility condition assessments by reviewing documentation and drafting narratives and recommendations.
• Provide architectural code and standards research (IBC, NFPA, ADA/ABA, UFC).
• Develop or review design alternatives and space planning concepts for Government evaluation.
• Draft technical inputs for Statements of Work, performance requirements, and evaluation criteria.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, civil, and security disciplines to identify interfaces and conflicts.
• Prepare technical briefings, decision‑support matrices, and executive summaries for Government stakeholders.
• Track technical issues and support resolution workflows with options and impacts.
