The role focuses on equipment selection, proposals, and submittals, enabling sales teams to present competitive, technically sound, and cost-effective solutions.

This position will be remote and support the Midwestern region of the United States, featuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology is required.
• 5+ years of HVAC application engineering or pre-sales experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the territory.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and optimize Applied HVAC equipment selection for complex projects.
• Ensure quoting, sizing, and equipment specs meet customer requirements and standards.
• Stay informed on industry trends and competitor strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
• Develop and refine detailed technical proposals and quotes for complex projects.
• Provide technical application support to the sales team and customers.
• Assist in presenting technically sound, competitive solutions to customers.
• Prepare and approve final technical submittals compliant with requirements.
• Identify scope gaps, risks, and value engineering opportunities with project teams.
• Maintain records of project costs, configurations, and approvals.
• Provide technical guidance on high‑value opportunities.
• Assist in product training and participate in training sessions.
