Job summary

SOLV Energy, a leading provider of infrastructure services to the power industry, is seeking an HV Training and Technical Support Specialist. This fully remote role supports daily OCC/O&M processes and develops HV training materials.

The position emphasizes safety, accurate documentation, and collaboration with clients and teammates. Responsibilities include creating training materials, providing SME advisory services, and supporting field technicians with HV test plans and reports.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 10+ years of Testing and Commissioning experience.
• Demonstrated ability to train and develop others.
• Ability to recognize work hazards and mitigate using proper tools and procedures.
• Effective computer operation skills and ability to operate system testing applications.
• Effective verbal and written English language communication skills.
• Effective organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a rotational on-call schedule (weekends or after-hours).
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record; ability to operate company vehicle.
• CPR/First Aid training.

Responsibilities

• Stresses safety as the most important function and ensures compliance with safe practices.
• Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety standards.
• Understand, follow, and communicate safety regulations and procedures.
• Prepare timely and accurate documentation and reports.
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and teammates.
• Develop HV Technical Training Material in collaboration with the Technical Support Supervisor and others.
• Support OCC with Power Systems Analysis and operational guidance as needed.
• Support generation and approval of test plans for technicians or subcontractors.
• Review or approve HV Test Reports on Acceptance and Maintenance Testing Activities.
• Provide On-Call and daytime HV Support to OCC and Field Technicians.
• Remote support of EPC Startup and Commissioning activities as needed.
• Remote support of O&M Testing and Commissioning activities as needed.
• Provide SME advice to clients.
• Support, prepare, and present RCA findings for equipment failures.
• Support NERC Misoperations reports.
• Support, prepare, and present Corrective Actions for HP issues related to HV operations.
