Job summary

SOLV Energy is a leading provider of infrastructure services to the power industry, delivering solar, storage and high voltage substation projects. The HV Training and Technical Support Specialist role is fully remote with interview discussions for location expectations.

The position emphasizes safety, collaboration, and the creation of HV training materials, with responsibilities spanning OCC support, testing plans, and remote EPC startup/OM&A activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 10+ Years of Testing and Commissioning Experience.
• Demonstrated ability to train and develop others.
• Demonstrated ability to recognize work hazards and mitigate using proper tools and procedures.
• Effective computer operation skills and ability to operate system testing applications.
• Effective verbal and written English language communication skills.
• Effective organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a rotational on-call schedule (weekends or after-hours).
• Valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record and ability to operate company vehicle.
• CPR/First Aid training.

Responsibilities

• Understand, follow, and communicate safety regulations and procedures.
• Prepare timely and accurate documentation and required reports.
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and teammates.
• Develop HV Technical Training Material with the Technical Support Supervisor.
• Support the OCC with Power Systems Analysis and operational guidance.
• Support the generation and approval of test plans for technicians or subcontractors.
• Review and approve HV Test Reports for acceptance and maintenance testing.
• Provide On-Call HV Support and daytime HV Support to OCC and Field Technicians.
• Remote support for EPC Startup, Commissioning, and O&M activities.
• Provide SME advice to clients and present RCA findings and corrective actions.
