Job summary

SOLV Energy, a nationwide provider of solar, storage, and HV substation services, seeks an HV Training and Technical Support Specialist. The role supports OCC/O&M processes and develops HV training materials in collaboration with the Technical Support Supervisor.

The position is fully remote and requires experience in testing/commissioning, on-call availability, and strong English communication. Travel to sites may occur as needed, with a focus on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of testing and commissioning experience.
• Demonstrated ability to train and develop others.
• Effective verbal and written English language communication skills.
• Ability to work in a rotational on-call schedule (weekends or after-hours possible).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicle.
• CPR/First Aid training.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety as the primary duty and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
• Create HV technical training materials in collaboration with the Technical Support Supervisor.
• Provide on-call and daytime HV support to OCC and field technicians.
• Support HV test plans, reports, and acceptance/maintenance testing activities.
• Support NERC misoperations reports and corrective actions for HP issues related to HV operations.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and teammates.
