Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch company, seeks a High Voltage Equipment Specialist to act as the technical authority for HV substation equipment, BOMs, specifications, and technical documentation throughout project development and execution.

The role collaborates with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and suppliers to ensure equipment is selected, specified, and deployed with best value while maintaining standards and compliance for utility projects.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting high-voltage substation, transmission, utility or power delivery projects.
• Knowledge of substation equipment and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret single-line, three-line diagrams and equipment layouts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the internal technical SME for high-voltage substation equipment and specifications.
• Develop, maintain, and standardize equipment lists, standards, and selection criteria across projects.
• Review BOMs and material takeoffs, identify scope gaps and conflicts.
• Evaluate alternate manufacturers and equipment solutions with cost considerations.
