Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch company, is seeking a High Voltage Equipment Specialist to lead technical ownership of HV substation equipment, BOM management, and standardization across projects. The role interfaces with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure compliant, cost-effective equipment solutions.

Remote within the United States with up to 25% travel, this position requires extensive knowledge of transmission equipment, IEEE/ANSI standards, and experience in utility-scale

Qualifications

• Experience with high-voltage substation projects and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and BOMs.
• Knowledge of utility standards and vendor evaluation processes.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Serve as internal technical SME for high-voltage substation equipment and validate specifications.
• Develop and standardize equipment lists, technical standards, and selection criteria.
• Review BOMs, material takeoffs, and project design requirements.
• Evaluate alternative manufacturers and cost-effective equipment solutions.
• Develop engineering standards, templates, and documentation repositories.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and clients for technical guidance.
