Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, seeks a High Voltage Substation Superintendent to lead field execution of HV substation, transmission, and interconnection scopes on large-scale power projects within our Project Delivery Team.

You will oversee subcontractors, ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality installation from site prep through energization, and drive schedule performance while maintaining contract alignment.

Qualifications

• Experience with high-voltage electrical systems, substations, or interconnection scopes.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specs.
• Experience managing subcontractors and enforcing contract scope, schedule, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage subcontractors executing HV substation and transmission work, ensuring safety and quality.
• Oversee full HV construction lifecycle from site prep to energization readiness.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and quality standards across all HV scopes.
• Develop and enforce a 3-week lookahead schedule for HV activities.
• Maintain schedule and budget while identifying execution risks.
• Verify subcontractor work aligns with drawings, specs, and contract requirements.
• Provide daily progress and risk reporting to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Civil, Mechanical, and PV Electrical teams to optimize sequencing.
• Coach field teams and subcontractors in PBM principles and continuous improvement.
