Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1 to execute testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair in substations, BESS and PV facilities. This remote role requires heavy travel to diverse job sites nationwide with exact location to be discussed in interview.

You will perform acceptance testing, prepare reports, and support safety and quality programs while coordinating with clients and teammates. Valid driver's license and English proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
Willingness to travel up to 75% of time.
Recognize hazards and mitigate with proper tools.
Effective verbal and written English communication.
Strong organizational skills.
Work at remote locations in extreme weather conditions.
On-call availability (weekends or after-hours).
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
CPR/First Aid training.
Knowledge of Job Safety Analysis.
Familiarity with Electrical Testing SOPs.

Responsibilities

Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in substation, BESS and PV facilities.
Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety standards.
Understand, follow and communicate safety regulations and procedures.
Prepare timely and accurate documentation and reports.
Complete a job with the assistance of Technicians and Trainees.
Assemble, write and review a complete test report of work performed.
Handle multiple jobs simultaneously.
Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and teammates.
Assess safety and technical skills of other technicians.
