Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1 to execute testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair activities in substations, BESS, and PV facilities.

This remote role requires heavy travel to various job sites with safety as the top priority. Responsibilities include performing acceptance testing, commissioning, documenting results, and producing thorough test reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience as an electrician testing technician in substations or BESS yards.
• Ability to travel 75% of time.
• Demonstrated ability to recognize work hazards and mitigate using proper tools and procedures.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to work at remote locations in extreme weather conditions.
• On-call availability, weekends or after-hours may be required.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in substation, BESS and PV facilities.
• Ensure a safe working environment through strict adherence to safety standards.
• Prepare timely and accurate documentation and required reports.
• Assemble, write, and review test reports of work performed or supervised.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and teammates.
• Manage multiple jobs simultaneously and supervise Technicians and Trainees.
• Uphold SOLV Energy culture of diversity and inclusion.
