Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1 to perform testing, commissioning and troubleshooting in substations, BESS and PV facilities. The role is remote with substantial travel to diverse job sites, and includes support from Technicians and Trainees.

The position emphasizes safety, adherence to procedures, and customer satisfaction as part of SOLV Energy’s inclusive culture and mission to maintain and improve infrastructure for the power industry.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of electrician testing experience in substations or BESS yards.
• Ability to travel 75% of time.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to work at remote locations in extreme weather conditions.
• CPR/First Aid training.
• Job Safety Analysis familiarity.
• Electrical Testing SOP familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Execute testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair activities in substations, BESS and PV facilities.
• Complete a job with the assistance of Technicians and Trainees.
• Uphold SOLV Energy safety, diversity and inclusion standards.
• Enter test data into reporting software.
• Travel to varying job sites as required.
