Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1 to execute testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair activities in substations, BESS and PV facilities. This role is remote with heavy travel to varying jobsites required.

Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in the substation, BESS and PV facilities. Complete a job with the assistance of Technicians and Trainees. Uphold diversity and inclusion as an unconscious part of SOLV Energy culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience as an electrician testing technician in substations or BESS yards.
• Ability to travel 75% of the time.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to work at remote locations in extreme weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in substation, BESS and PV facilities.
• Complete a job with the assistance of Technicians and Trainees.
• Enter test data into test report software.
• Test equipment per NETA standards and document results.
• Travel to varying job sites and support field teams.
