Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. seeks an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1 to perform testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair in substations, BESS and PV facilities. This remote role travels heavily to diverse sites; detailed location expectations will be discussed at interview.

The technician will ensure safety, complete test reports, and collaborate with clients and team members while supporting ongoing SOLV Energy projects across the region.

Qualifications

• GED or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of experience as an electrician testing technician in substations or BESS yards.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of time.
• Strong English verbal and written communication.
• Must be able to work at remote locations in extreme weather.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• CPR/First Aid training.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in the substation, BESS and PV facilities.
• Ensure a safe working environment through strict adherence to company and industry safety standards.
• Prepare timely and accurate documentation and required reports.
• Assemble, write, and review a complete test report of the work that they performed or supervised.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and teammates.
• Handle multiple jobs simultaneously and supervise Technicians and Trainees where applicable.
