Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1 to perform testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair in substations, BESS and PV facilities. The role is remote with heavy travel to diverse job sites across the U.S., and includes working with Technicians and Trainees to complete assignments.

Candidates should bring a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 years of electrician testing experience in substations or BESS yards, and the ability to travel 75% of the time.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of electrician testing experience in substations or BESS yards.
• Able to travel 75% of the time.
• Effective verbal and written English communication.
• Ability to work at remote locations in extreme weather.
• CPR/First Aid training.
• Job Safety Analysis knowledge.
• Electrical Testing SOPs knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Execute testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair in substations, BESS and PV facilities.
• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment at sites.
• Complete jobs with technicians and trainees; ensure safety and quality procedures.
• Travel to varying job sites, maintaining SOLV Energy practices.
