Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1 to execute testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair activities in substations, BESS and PV facilities.

Remote role with heavy travel to diverse job sites; safeties and precise test reporting are emphasized. The position requires 1–3 years of electrician testing experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work in extreme weather at remote locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience as an electrician testing technician in substations or BESS yards.
• Ability to travel 75% of time.
• Demonstrated ability to recognize work hazards and mitigate using proper tools and procedures.
• Effective verbal and written English language communication skills.
• Ability to work at remote locations in extreme weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record and ability to operate company vehicle.
• CPR/First Aid training.

Responsibilities

• Stresses safety as the top priority and enforces safety standards.
• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in substations, BESS and PV facilities.
• Prepare timely and accurate documentation and reports.
• Assemble, write and review complete test reports for work performed.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and teammates.
• Manage multiple jobs simultaneously.
• Supervise technicians and trainees as needed.
