Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1 who will execute testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair at substations, BESS and PV facilities.

This remote role requires heavy travel to various job sites with expectations discussed during interviews. You will perform acceptance testing, develop test reports, and ensure safety compliance while collaborating with technicians, vendors and customers across diverse locations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1–3 years experience as an electrician testing technician in substations or BESS yards.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%.
• Able to work at remote locations in extreme weather conditions.
• Strong English verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in substations, BESS and PV facilities.
• Ensure a safe working environment following safety standards.
• Prepare timely and accurate documentation and required reports.
• Assemble, write, and review a complete test report of the work performed.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and teammates.
• Complete a job with the assistance of Technicians and Trainees.
