Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1. The position is remote with heavy travel to substations, BESS, and PV facilities nationwide.

You will perform testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair activities with a focus on safety and accurate reporting. Responsibilities include documenting test results, coordinating with technicians, and ensuring adherence to SOLV Energy safety standards at diverse sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience as an electrician testing technician in substations or BESS yards.
• Ability to travel 75% of the time.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• CPR/First Aid training.
• Ability to work at remote locations in extreme weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in the substation, BESS and PV facilities.
• Ensure a safe working environment through strict adherence to safety standards.
• Prepare timely and accurate documentation and required reports.
• Complete a job with the assistance of Technicians and Trainees.
• Assemble, write, and review a complete test report of the work performed.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and teammates.
